Listiti : Its Like Google Alerts For Twitter Lists

listiti2

Found this new little service called Listiti via Louis Gray today that I guess would be best described as Google alerts meets Twitter lists.  Now the difference here is you will only get alerted when someone on the list you are monitoring mentions the keyword instead of everytime the keyword might be mentioned out there on the interwebs

How would that be any more useful?   Well it gives you a more concentrated list to work with.   Maybe you just wanna know when one of YOUR friends mentions an Android phone or maybe you only want to know when a list of social media experts you have talks about Twitter lists..the examples go on and on.

Some little bits on the service it is free, you cant use operators like OR you just have to create a new search in that case, you will get an alert every hour but they are working on having a daily digest in the future, and it was created by Xavier Damman.

I think it is a kool little alert service that like I mentioned can allow you to have a smaller group to concentrate on for your alerts from people you might consider friends, experts, or whatever.

Browse Twitter Lists With List Browser

listbrowser

Dave Winer wanted an easy way to browse all the Twitter Lists that are popping up these days so he created List Browser for us all to play around with.

Its pretty easy and simple to use.  You just put a Twitter handle in the search box and it will give you all the lists that user has created.

Once you have a list loaded up you can see everyone on the list with their avatar, their bio from twitter, how many followers they have as well as how many people they follow, and then a link back to their Twitter profile.  Oh yeah also if you click on one of the names in the list you will be taken to their page listing the lists they have created.

The other interesting about the list is it also has Disqus commenting so you can talk with others about the lists and maybe give your thoughts on it.

Overall a kool little app to use for quick searching of the lists.   Thanks Dave!
