FriendFeed wishlist

friendfeed

One of the hot new web services out there and one that I am finding myself use more and more is called FriendFeed.  What is FriendFeed you ask?  Well it is a service that allows you to take all of your social feeds (twitter, digg, del.icio.us, youtube, google reader, ect) and aggregate them into on big lifestream.

It has really taking off with the web2.0, social media, early adopter crowd and to me has some great potential to really become something big.  With that said I have a few wish list items I would love to see in the future to just enhance my use of it:

Mobile Edition : I think as more and more people continue to use their mobile options to surf the web this would be an awesome edition...being able to pull up and see what everyone is up to no matter where I am would be great.

Desktop App : As much as a mobile edition of friendfeed would be great so would a desktop application that would alert you to new posts from your friends.  The idea I would compare it to would be something like twhirl that you can use with twitter and using Adobe AIR would be nice.

Replies : The ability to reply to someones twitter via friendfeed but then to have it show up on twitter as well would be really kool as well as if I put a blog post up on friendfeed the ability to have friendfeed posts in the comments of my blog would be kool as well.

Exclusion of Services : Being able to take certain services out of the feeds would be a nice added feature...maybe I dont want to get everyone's twitter updates as I already get them on my mobile device via sms...maybe I dont really care for a service and would like to exclude them...whatever the case...being able to take them out of view or off the rss feed would be a nice added feature.

[note : here is a yahoo pipe that allows you to take out twitter posts from your rss feed of friends.]

[note II : found this kool greasemonkey script that lets you filter your friendfeed by service.]
