Monkeying Around With Twitter

During the day when at work I find myself jumping on the web version of twitter to see who has replied to me, what DM's I have or even just checking out my friend stream.

Recently I added a few greasemonkey scripts that allow me to add or enhance the functionality of the web site and thought I would share with you some of my favorites.

Show # of unread replies + adds mentions
A simple script that displays the number of unread @replies and adds a Mentions tab in the Twitter sidebar.

Enhance Twitter
Enhance twitter.com by adding a search box (with search suggestions) to search tweets or current events/happenings right from your twitter home page.

Nested Twitter Replies
Adds nested replies to every Twitter conversation thread.

Endless Tweets
Loads pages endlessly when scrolling on the Twitter timeline. Other features: remembers last read tweet, embedded location map, more dynamic interface, tab-completion of friend names and live updates with Growl notifications.

Userscripts.org is a great site to find scripts like these and many others that you can use to enhance to customize services all over the interwebz so check it out.

I love greasemonkey and it has changed the way I use twitter. I did a post a while back on Microblink (http://microblink.com/go/1709) about it but I think it is near time to revisit. Endless Tweets sounds insane! Good stuff, thanks Jeff!
