AMC’s “Fork & Screen” Preview Tonight
A few weeks back I got a kool invite to check out AMC Theatres new concept called "Fork & Screen" which brings two favorite things of mine together in movies and eating! So tonight I will be heading over to the AMC Studio 30 in Olathe to check the new services out and will for sure be reporting back to everyone via twitter and snapping some pics.
Guests of Fork & Screen and Cinema Suites will be able to enjoy in-theatre dining combined with the most current movies and other types of entertainment, presented in the immersive, big-screen viewing environment of an AMC theatre. Both Fork & Screen and Cinema Suites will feature in-theatre Seat-Side ServiceTM, where moviegoers will have the opportunity to order from a diverse menu of appetizers, sandwiches, entrees, desserts, beer, wine and cocktails, as well as traditional theatre concessions.
Fork & Screen will feature eight auditoriums reserved for guests 18-years-old and over and minors accompanied by a parent or guardian, where patrons will enjoy their entertainment in an intimate setting, with soft, comfortable seating and table-top dining.
For the ultimate in luxury moviegoing at an affordable price, AMC guests 21-years-old and over can upgrade to one of three Cinema Suites auditoriums featuring reserved seating.
Tonight we will be getting a tour of the new setup they have been working on for the past few months, get to ask any questions we might have, as well as catch a screening of Guy Ritchie’s new film “RocknRolla”.
Along with my twitter posts I will work on a review and what I thought of everything which should pop up on the blog in a couple of days and if you have any questions you would like me to ask tonight please feel free to shoot me a tweet.

Every now and then you will see someone has posted a list of people on FriendFeed they follow and find interesting...well I thought why not take my FriendFeed stats and produce a list of some people who find me interesting for a change. So if you find my posts on FriendFeed interesting and like following me you might give a look to some of these fellow users as they seem to like my stuff as well

Blog Action Day – Poverty (Oct 15th 2008)
My Friend Zena Weist posted today about Blog Action Day 2008 which takes place tomorrow and this years issue to tackle is Poverty. Below is a little information on the event and how you can get involved.
What is Blog Action Day?
Blog Action Day is an annual nonprofit event that aims to unite the world’s bloggers, podcasters and videocasters, to post about the same issue on the same day. Our aim is to raise awareness and trigger a global discussion.
Global issues like poverty are extremely complex. There is no simple, clear answer. By asking thousands of different people to give their viewpoints and opinions, Blog Action Day creates an extraordinary lens through which to view these issues. Each blogger brings their own perspective and ideas. Each blogger posts relating to their own blog topic. And each blogger engages their audience differently.

Twitter Vote Report : Twitter Meets The Voting Process
Everyday we are seeing new ways social media services are changing how we experience events in our community to around the world. This coming November 4th Americans will head to the polls for the Presidential Election and from my memory this will be the first Election since twitter/social media has taken off.
Enter the Twitter Vote Report (twittervotereport.com) :
So, get ready to Twitter your Vote Report! Voters can share their experiences with other people in real-time using Twitter.com. This will help other voters not to show up when the lines are too long, and let the media and watchdog groups know that there are machinery problems or that voters are being asked for identification unnecessarily (or necessarily if they are first-time voters) in certain precincts.
To let your voice be heard on the report go to twitter, write your message and use the hashtag #votereport.
Report back with posts on things like :
1. The time of day (9:20 am, 1:12 pm)
2. The zip code you just voted in (e.g. 10591, 10012)
3. The issue: Wait (e.g. a waiting time of over ½ hour) Reg. (e.g. a problem with your registration) Machine (e.g. voting machines are broken or jamming)
4. Whatever else you feel like sharing on your experience.
I think it is gonna be interesting the part that social media and the social web plays in the next few weeks as we head to the polls.
