Filtering Your Friends with FriendFeed

friendfeed

So FriendFeed has the new look over at beta.friendfeed.com and one of the kool new features is the ability to put your friends or people you subscribe to in groups to lower the noise or just allow you to get what noise you want based on what you are looking for in that group.  So how do you have your groups so far?  I would love to know as I am working on getting that all ironed out for myself

Right now I have 2 groups I have created in offline friends which would be coworkers, family, misc friends i know personally who might just have a flickr feed, maybe a blog, ect - I like to call these my none geek friends.  Then for my second so far is kc friends where I have local podcasters, social media geeks, and bloggers.

For now that is it....now I have to decide how am i gonna group others like Corvida, idonotes, wayne sutton, j.phil, ect.

So how are you using the new FriendFeed Filter?  Would love to hear any thoughts on the matter.  Basically I am just looking for ideas....hehe

I'm trying my best to keep the lists to a minimum. I'm actually going to stick mainly to the main feed. I'll have a 'favorites' list which is similar to your 'offline' one, another list for cewebrities & then one final list for people in UK & Europe. I really want to make an effort to get to know more web geeks in my neck of the woods so that's one of the ways I'm using to make it happen.

I don't really know anyone in FriendFeed (or maybe a couple of people) so for me it's status quo for now…
