MySQL Resources?

Hey Everyone….over the weekend I was thinking I would like to increase my knowledge of MySQL since I use it for my blog and would like to see what else I can do with it. I have a running knowledge of the open source database but would like to take it to the next level :)

So that is where you come in. do you use MySQL? What are some good resources I can dig into? blogs, forums, books? whatever the case may be….I am just looking for the places to get some great info.

    I came to MySQL when it looked like knowing PHP/MySQL would drastically increase my chances of a promotion from a server tech to a sysadmin. This was back in 2001 or so.

    Really, I'm self taught with MySQL, Perl and PHP. I'm not the most knowledgeable, but learning by doing is key. I've found that the MySQL documentation online is great.

    For examples, MySQL Cookbook is a good choice. It's oldish, however most of the syntax works with MySQL 5.
