toluu

I recently found out about a new site/service out there called toluu which I would describe as an rss addicts crack :)   What it allows you to do is add your feeds (manually or via opml), add friends and then discover who you are most compatible with feed wise and also help you discover new sites you may not have heard of or maybe just never got around to checking out.  With toluu I have found some kool new sites and hope I have helped others discover some sites I have found through the years.

The service is far from being ready for prime time and is still in beta so keep that in mind as you play around with it but even at the point it is I would consider it a great service.  A few things I would love to see added to the service would be the ability to subscribe to a feed directly into the aggregator of my choice as well as integration with friendfeed :)   (sorry couldnt resist that one)

  • Jeff, thanks for the great review! I love your 'rss addict crack' metaphor. I know I have been following the feeds you have been adding and have found some really great blogs I never knew about already.

    The two feature requests you bring up are at the top of our list, so keep your eyes peeled.

    Also, let me know if you need any more invites to send to your readers.

  • I do my best to keep on top of everything. It has been so amazing the response to Toluu so far, I am totally humbled, and so it is so cool to talk with so many great people.
  • You might give the gReader Comments extension another try - I just added your blog as one that links up. You should be able to now see & respond to all comments for your posts right within Reader.
  • The comment count for these "outside" blogs (ones that are linked up) is not currently working - so you will be seeing "No comments" for all your posts. I'm working on this...it will have to be in the form of an extension upgrade and will probably just show "Comments" for now.
